I am an experienced and licensed cosmetologist with 20+ years in the industry. After working full time in commercial photo studios, I moved to Denver, Colorado and have since been a freelance artist.
I have been working in the commercial image making world most of my life, beginning as a teenager, having a parent who was in the advertising industry and spending time on set when not in school.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Commercial Photography from Northern Arizona University, I worked as a photo assistant and photographer. I learned more about the roles of everyone on set and it became clear to me that my true interests were in the hair and makeup and styling aspect of the industry. I went back to school to get my cosmetology license and assisted hair and makeup artists on set to learn the craft.
I specialize in beauty and natural looking hair and makeup, dry hairstyling, men’s grooming, period styling, and vintage beauty artistry. My background as a photographer trained me to look at a scene 2-dimensionally, breaking down the details into shapes and assessing necessary improvements to the final look.
I have extensive expertise in recreating authentic looks from the early and mid-20th century. This vintage hair and makeup training helps me to think outside of the proverbial box of on set problem solving.
I am available for commercial and editorial photoshoots, video productions and personal portraits and headshots. I also specialize in vintage hair and makeup for photoshoots, special events, and weddings.
I have worked with a variety of clients and companies with the highest standards and maintain the most professional work ethic and attention to detail. Clients have included BMW, ESPN Magazine's Body Issue, HGTV, Sorel, Oakley, United Airlines and many more. Please see a full client history and celebrity experience list here.
